SCHOOL REPORTS

Years 7 -10

Each year in Years 7 to 10 you will receive two formal detailed and insightful reports on your child’s achievement at school. The report comprises a single page for each subject that your child studies. Students receive an Overall Mark which is a cumulative mark of your child’s attainment in the formal assessment program for that course. A Group Average is included which demonstrates the average mark of the subject attained by subjects across the year.

The reports contain a Progressive Grade which is an A - E scale which is based on your child’s demonstration of the relevant knowledge, understanding, processes and skills for each subject and given the learning stage of each student. The Progressive Grade is, therefore, not based only on the Student's Overall Mark and is intended to give a fuller representation of the student's progress.

The Areas of Learning included show your child’s achievement against areas related to specific outcomes for each subject.

The Teacher Feedback section indicates specific strategies that your child can employ to try and improve their achievement level in each subject.

A Learning Profile is included which links to our Learning Powered Approach, this profile reports against the various learning attitudes and behaviours our students display in each subject:

  • Perseveres in learning activities
  • Completes Coursework
  • Seeks advice and acts on feedback
  • Reflects on their own learning
  • Collaborates Effectively
  • Communicates respectfully with staff and peers
