OUR PHILOSOPHY

Why we are here - Building Better Futures

Our vision for our students is that they will be equipped to build better futures. We provide a wide range of experiences designed to build in our students the capacity and personal resources to be clear thinkers, capable of making good decisions, with a desire to serve their communities. Through our Christian goals we aim to help our students to flourish so that they may contribute to helping their communities to flourish – so that they may be able to build better futures for themselves and the communities in which they will live and work.

What we do

“With compassionate hearts and inquiring minds we strive to learn well, live wisely, serve others and honour God”.

We believe that education is about the whole person, so we nurture both the heart and the mind. We recognise that determination is needed to live a purposeful life, and we encourage applying what is learned to living our lives wisely and well, to serving those in need and to honouring God in all our endeavours.

How we do it

The primary tool we use to equip our students to build better futures is our Vital Framework, in which we have integrated our spiritual, learning and wellbeing programs. To view the Vital Framework click here.

Our Motto

“With heart, soul, mind and strength”

The School Motto is drawn from the Gospel of Mark. Jesus is asked by someone, "What is the greatest commandment?" Jesus answered that the most important one is, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength".

The motto urges all of us to be passionate about learning, to live a full life, and to help those who are in need. Our motto encourages action; it urges us to put our whole selves into learning, living and loving God.
